Our Little Guy

I wanted to share some pictures with you of our little guy. He will be making his debut in just a couple of months. The first three pictures are from his 22 week ultrasound back at the end of November. I know that I am his mommy, but I think he is already a cutie!!!

I just had to post this next one... sorry! Even after seeing this 'proof'', I asked the tech about four times if she was sure that our baby was a boy. After four girls, you just don't think that you will here the words... it's a boy!!!

At our 22 week ultrasound, we found out that our baby has an enlarged kidney. My OB told me not to worry, that almost always it will correct itself. I was then scheduled for another ultrasound at 30 weeks. We had that last week and found out that it had not corrected itself, and it actually got bigger. These pictures of his feet are from the second ultrasound.

We are scheduled to see a specialist the first week of February. At that appointment we will find out just how big our baby's kidney is, and what (if anything) will have to be done. From the little information I know now, my OB still thinks that it could correct itself. It also could correct itself once he is delivered and the kidney starts functioning on it's own. If neither of those occur, he may require surgery to get it fixed. I ask that you join our family in prayer that it will correct itself without having to do the surgery. I know that our God has a plan for our baby, and that he is in control of the situation. I am trying so hard not to freak out about it. I will let you all know what we find out after our appointment with the specialist.
On a much lighter note, our poor little baby boy is still in need of a great name! We have a couple that we somewhat agree on, but I haven't heard 'the one' yet, I don't think. I would appreciate any input that you may have on what you think his name should be. THANKS!!!
